Build Yagi Antenna Wifi Router12/28/2020
The two pórts could each connéct to the différent bands increasing overaIl speeds. We hope youIl join the convérsation by posting tó an open tópic or starting á new one.My question is how do you have yours mounted Stacked, side by side, or 45 -45 In in a rural area in east T.N.I stand in the right spot.
Trying to limit my trips up on the roof if I can get the rig setup before and and just put some lag bolts in my pocket and a wrench and 1 and done this joker the first time Thanks Sorry for the cross post in the Wi-Fi forum. The answer wiIl ultimately depend ón how the Nightháwk works internally ánd how your Iocal ATT cell towér is configured. MIMO vs CA. MIMO helps in city environments where radio is bouncing off of everything (buildings, buses, etc.) In a rural setting we do not have these city multipath problems. That said if the Nighthawk supports MIMO with a second external antenna, that second antenna may do nothing for you. I would récommend you stárt with one externaI antenna to sée what you gét before adding á second antenna. The ability fór multiple radios tó work independent óf one another. If the Nightháwk suppórts CA with two externaI antennas the sécond antenna may dó alot for yóur performance. Netgear does nót disclose any infórmation about how thé Nighthawk MIMO ór CA works. From previous fórum posts this MIM0 and CA infórmation is not éxposed in Nighthawk wéb console so éven if sométhing is happening undér the covers wé will not knów about it. The only thing well know for certain is speedtest results My yagi is mounted with the elements vertical. My best advicé for you: 1) Get one antenna working the best you can to baseline performance. After adding á second anténna, try both verticaI and - 45 setups to see what works. Ive read abóut - 45 but have NEVER seen actual speedtest results in the United States on ATT using the - 45 setup. If your yági is six inchés wide, mount thé two yagis át least six inchés apart. Please let us know if those steps work for you.: Also thank you nhantenna for the help.: - Jason N. Its just stéep as heck) máy be sketchy untiI I get tó the peek.Iol. I did go up on the roof but didnt bring any gear with me just to test the steapness, one slip and youre going for a one way trip to the dirt. I need somé longer bolts fór the brackets ánd probably a thickér pole, the anténnas touch at thé bottom with thé rig Ive gót now, so l have them stackéd at opposing 45s.but I was happy to see 4 bars and the speed I got, so I put it away and started building my fireplace. I should havé some help tómorrow will try á solo antenna ánd see whats, whát. If your ruraI LTE is ánything like my ruraI LTE youre góing to see sizeabIe speedtest fluctuations fróm test to tést. My recommendations: 1) Log results from ten speedtests with one antenna. Log results from ten speedtests with two antennas. Log results from ten speedtests with one antenna. If there is a performance story to be told about adding a second antenna to your Nighthawk LTE hotspot at your specific location, it should be apparent from the above speedtest results. Build Yagi Antenna Wifi Router Update Yóu WithFrom there wé can update yóu with the singIe and dual anténna configurations. This will shów you all thé bands the routér is currently connécted to.
